Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to disburse the maximum sum assured with 6% interest till the date of payment under the National Agricultural Insurance Scheme to the insured farmers of Appanoor Phirka, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] The petitioner has come up with this petition under the guise of a Public Interest Litigation seeking a direction to the respondents to disburse the maximum sum assured with 6% interest till the date of payment under the National Agricultural Insurance Scheme to the insured farmers of Appanoor Phirka, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

2.The dispute is in respect of percentage of sum assured to be paid under the National Agricultural Insurance Scheme to the insured farmers. The same cannot be decided in this Writ Petition. The farmers can work out their remedy before the appropriate authority. This Writ Petition is, therefore, dismissed. No costs.
