ORDER

(Judgment of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The prayer in this writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's Appeal dated 13.10.2025 within a time frame.

The petitioner was issued with an eviction notice dated 08.10.2025 under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, against which, he preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent/District Collector under Section 10 of the Act. Thereafter, the 2nd respondent sent an enquiry notice dated 16.10.2025 directing the petitioner to appear for enquiry on 23.10.2025. It is the grievance of the petitioner that despite he appeared before the 2nd respondent on the said date, his appeal is not yet disposed of. Hence, this writ petition. 2/4

Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent/District Collector to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 13.10.2025, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
