For Respondent : Mr.S.Ravi, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. PRAYER :- For an Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.10 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police.
ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence under Sections 406 and 420 IPC in Crime No.10 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner received a sum of Rs.One Lakh from the defacto complainant on promise of getting job in the cargo department of Airport, Madurai and thereafter, cheated the defacto complainant. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it is purely money transaction between the petitioner and the defacto complainant, which has been given criminal color. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police strongly opposed this petition on the ground that it is a clear case of job racketing and the investigation in this case is in initial stage.

5.Considering the seriousness of the allegation levelled against the petitioner and also considering the fact that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
