ORDER

L.Chockalingam has come to this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent/Assistant Executive Engineering, TANGEDCO, Tamilnadu Electricity Board, Melamadai, Madurai District, to consider the petitioner's representation dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

27.10.2015, wherein, a request was made not to cancel the transfer of electricity connection stands in the name of petitioner bearing EB Nos.009-019-234, 238, 239, 240, 241, 242, 243, 244, 245 in respect of petitioner's property bearing Resurvey No.259/6E1A/UDR Survey No.111/6E1A in patta No.872 situated at Vandiyur Village, Madurai District.

2.A counter affidavit has been filed by the 2nd respondent. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned standing counsel appearing for the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board submits that only on receipt of a complaint given by the respondents 3 and 4 to disconnect the electricity service connection given to the petitioner, a show cause notice has been issued to the petitioner and the petitioner has not submitted his explanation, however, she submitted that the representation given by the petitioner can be taken as explanation and after considering the same, the 2nd respondent would pass appropriate order, within a time frame. Learned counsel for the petitioner has agreed to the above submission.

4.In view of the above submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.10.2015 and pass appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. M.P(MD)No.1 of 2015 is closed.
