The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition seeking for a direction to the respondents to stop illegal quarrying sand from the Cauvery River at Nanniyur Village, Karur District from the JCB Bulldozers and Lorries and other vehicles and pass necessary orders by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2015. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2.When the matter came up for hearing, Mr.K.Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General for the respondents submitted that quarry operation for the above said area has been stopped by the authorities and produced a copy of the proceedings of the Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Trichy, dated 16.07.2014 to that effect.
3.Recording the said submission, the writ petition is closed. No costs.
