ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to give police protection to the petitioner and his workers while installing a Gate in their property, comprised in Survey Nos.150/6B, 150/2A2 and 150/7A1. 1/3

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, on instructions, would submit that for the grievance addressed by the petitioner, he had already given a complaint on 08.02.2020, for which, the third respondent initiated an enquiry in C.S.R.No.50 of 2020. Before completion of such enquiry, the petitioner has made another representation dated 12.03.2020. According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, as of now, C.S.R.No.50 of 2020 has been closed by the third respondent.

3.In view of the above, in the absence of any petition, an order for police protection, cannot be given. However, if the petitioner feels that the respondents 4 and 5 have committed cognizable offence, it is open to him to approach the concerned jurisdictional Magistrate for appropriate remedy. 4.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
