Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Innisai Katcheri scheduled to be held on 11.07.2018 at night 08.00 to 12.00 hours in connection with the "Aani Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman Kovil at Thattankulam Village, Sivagiri Taluk, Tirunelveli District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.06.2018.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event, namely, Innisai Katcheri scheduled to be held on 11.07.2018 at night 08.00 to 12.00 hours in connection with the "Aani Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman Kovil at Thattankulam Village, Sivagiri Taluk, Tirunelveli District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.06.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the representation of the petitioner dated 25.06.2018 is directed to be considered and an order to that effect would be passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that if the said representation is pending with the respondents, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

5.Considering the said circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.06.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 10.07.2018.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
