ORDER
The petitioner seeks admission for his son-Pandi in XI Standard in the third respondent School. His request was not considered due to the grading system adopted by Kerala School Education Department. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ Petition.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would rely on the admission made to a student from Kerala in some other Government School.
4. In my considered view, now, the Government of Tamil Nadu are also proposing to follow the grading system. It is not in dispute that the petitioner's son has passed X Standard. When 10+2+3 system of education is followed, if the petitioner's son is an eligible candidate, who passed X Standard examination in Kerala, the third respondent shall consider his admission.
5. Considering the limited prayer, without going into the merits of the case, the second and third respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.06.2018, in the light of the precedents and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
