Mr.N.Shanmuga Selvam, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. Aggrieved over the order of the third respondent Tahsildar, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer on 15.06.2016. The matter was taken up on file and notice was ordered to the respondents. They have entered appearance in July 2016 and thereafter, the second respondent called for a report from the third respondent by letter dated 02.01.2018. However, no further progress was made in the appeal. The petitioner is aged about 62 years. Since the petitioner is a senior citizen and physically challenged person, the petitioner seeks an early disposal of the appeal.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is issued to the second respondent to dispose of the appeal petition pending in Na.Ka.P1/6932/2016 dated 15.06.2016 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
