O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the official respondents to give police protection to the petitioner to conduct Thiruvizha.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that the Thiruvizha was conducted on 09.04.2023 and 10.04.2023 in a peaceful manner. It is further stated that this Thiruvizha is conducted once in three years. 2/5

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a permanent solution must be found out since every time the petitioner cannot be made to come to this Court.

4.In the considered view of this Court, such omnibus orders cannot be passed in the writ petition. The writ petition is filed only for the particular cause of action and if that cause of action does not subsist, the Court cannot pass such omnibus orders. Therefore, as and when an occasion arises and such police protection is required,the petitioner can always renew the request. Except giving this clarity, no further orders can be passed in this regard.

5.The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms. 07.11.2024 NCC :
