ORDER

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus, seeking a direction against the second respondent/Taluk Surveyor, Pudukottai Town, Pudukottai District, to survey the property of the petitioner in S.No. 33/5, measuring 12 cents, consequent to representation given by the petitioner on 29.03.20233, but the petitioner had paid necessary charges via e-challan on 27.03.2023.

2.It is claimed that the property was originally belonged to the father of petitioner namely, Renganathan, who died intestate on 12.02.2010. The petitioner and his mother were the only legal heirs. His mother had also settled the property in favour of the petitioner, by way of a registered settlement deed.

3.An obligation is placed on the first respondent to examine the representation of the petitioner, documents produced by the petitioner and if 2/4

he is satisfied, proceed to survey the lands, with the assistance of the second respondent. The said exercise should be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is stands disposed. No costs.
