RESPONDENT Petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to extend the time of surrender before the Trial Court in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.5211 of 2021 dated 22/04/2021 in connection with Crime No.106 of 2021 on the file of the respondent.
Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.JEYAKUMARAN.J, Advocate for the petitioners and of Mr.S.RAVI, Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondent, the Court made the following order:- This petition is filed to grant extension of time to comply with the order dated 22.04.2021 made in Crl.O.P.[MD]No.5211 of 2021. 2.This Court, by order dated 22.04.2021 made in Crl.O.P.[MD] No.5211 of 2021, directed the petitioners to appear before the concerned Magistrate Court, within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy was made ready. However, the petitioners did not comply with condition, within the time prescribed by this Court. Hence, they approached this Court with the present petition for extension of time to surrender and execute the sureties. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent police.
4.Considering the reasons stated in the petition and also considering the prevailing pandemic situation, this petition is ordered and the time to surrender before the concerned Magistrate Court is extended by one month from the date of resumption of regular work in subordinate Courts, in view of the present pandemic situation.
