ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. With the consent of counsel on either side the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The petitioner's father, namely, Karuppaiah Chettiar filed a petition against the petitioner under the relevant provisions of the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007. The said petition was allowed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Pudukottai on 14.09.2021. Questioning the same, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the first respondent. The first respondent is directed to dispose of the said appeal on merits and in accordance with law and after hearing the petitioner's father within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. All the contentions of the respective parties are left open.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
