O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.12.2019 for disbursing all the retiral benefits including arrears of salary, provident fund and gratuity etc., for which the petitioner is entitled.

2. The petitioner was working at the second respondent Society and on attaining superannuation, he retired from service in the year 2016, after rendering 26 years of service. However, his retiral benefits yet to be disbursed, according to the petitioner, by the respondents. Therefore, in this regard, the petitioner has given a representation on 24.12.2019 and the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, if the said representation is considered and decided by the respondents on merits within a time frame, the petitioner would be satisfied.

3. Heard Mr.A.Thiyagarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, would submit that, the said representation of the petitioner dated 24.12.2019 would be considered by the respondents on merits within a time frame.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for herein, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition with the following direction:- "that the respondents are hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.12.2019 and pass orders thereon within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

5. With these directions, the Writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
