ORDER

DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.

AND R.POORNIMA, J.

This Petition is filed by the petitioners herein to suspend the sentence and grant bail to the petitioners/Accused Nos.3 & 4.

2. It is a case of dowry death. The petitioners herein are the Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law of the deceased. The Trial Court has found guilty and convicted the petitioners herein/A-3 & A-4 are as follows: (i). The 1st petitioner herein/A-3 was convicted under Section 498(A) of IPC, sentenced to undergo Rigorous imprisonment for 2 years and fine of Rs.5,000/- in default to undergo 6 months Rigorous imprisonment and for Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, convicted and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for 6 months and fine of Rs.10,000/-in default to undergo one month simple imprisonment.

(ii) The 2nd petitioner herein/A-4 was convicted for the offence under Section 498(A) of IPC and sentenced to undergo Rigorous imprisonment for 2 years and fine of Rs.5,000/- in default to undergo 6 months Rigorous imprisonment.

3. The Trial Court after conviction had suspended their sentence for 30 days to prefer the appeal. Now the Appeal is admitted and notice was taken by the Learned Additional Public Prosecutor in Crl.A(MD)No. 434 of 2025.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the appeal, and the period of sentence, this Court is of the view that the grounds of appeal requires deeper analysis. Till then, the petitioners herein be released on bail till disposal of the appeal, subject to the following conditions:

(i) The petitioners are directed to be enlarged on bail on executing a bond for a sum of Rs.50,000/- [Rupees Fifty Thousand only]each, with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the Learned Sessions Judge, Fast Track Mahila Court, Sivagangai, 3/5

(ii) The petitioners shall report before the trial Court on the 1st working day of every English Calendar month at 10.30 a.m., until further orders.
