This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to receive necessary charges and appoint police officers to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his workers to put up fencing around petitioner's land that comprised in Survey No.213/1A situating at Periyapillaivalasai Village, Sengottai Taluk, Thenkasi District in compliance with the recommendation made by the Tahsildar of Sengottai Taluk, dated 17.06.2021, in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner gave a representation to the respondent police for providing adequate police protection to his workers for putting up the fence around the land of the petitioner comprised in Survey No.213/1A situated at Periyapillaivalasai Village, Sengottai Taluk, Thenkasi District, in compliance with the recommendation made by the 1/3
Tashildar of Shengottai Taluk, dated 17.06.2021, but till date, no action has been taken by the respondent police. Hence, the petitioner filed the present petition.
3.The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) submitted that the police is ready to provide police protection to the petitioner as sought for in the present petition.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ready to pay the necessary charges for the police protection.
5.I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents police 6.Admittedly, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondent police to provide adequate police protection to his workers for fixing the fence around his land comprised in Survey No.213/1A situated at Periyapillaivalasai Village, Sengottai Taluk, Thenkasi District. Further, the Tashildar of Senkottai Taluk also ordered police protection by proceedings dated 17.06.2021 and the respondent police is now ready to provide police protection to the petitioner for the aforesaid purpose on payment of necessary charges. The petitioner is also ready to pay the required charges. 7.
Under these circumstances, this Criminal Original petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to pay the required charges for the police protection and the respondent police is also directed to provide police protection as directed by the Tashildar of Senkottai Taluk by proceedings dated 17.06.2021.
