O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to measure, fix four boundaries and to erect boundary stones by surveying the petition-mentioned properties.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the petitioner may be directed to submit a fresh representation before the first respondent/Tahsildar, who would thereafter consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law within the time frame stipulated by this 2/5

Court.

4. In view of the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the first respondent/Tahsildar within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such representation, the first respondent shall consider and dispose of the same, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the owners of the relevant adjacent lands and pass appropriate orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of sixteen weeks thereafter. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to agitate the same before the competent civil court. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
