Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents No.2 and 3 to cancel the patta in Patta No.1137 in Survey No.2551/1A situated at Devadanapatti, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District and issue fresh patta in petitioner's father Ammavasithevar's legal heirs by way of considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.04.2022. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned counsel for the tenth respondent.

2.The petitioner wants the patta standing in the name of the private respondents in respect of the petition mentioned property to be cancelled. He originally moved the Tahisldar, Periyakulam. Vide memorandum dated 13.09.2019 the said request was rejected. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner moved the Revenue Divisional Officer, Periyakulam. 2/4

3.The second respondent is directed to pass order on the said appeal/revision on merits and in accordance with law after putting all the interested parties on notice. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is open to the second respondent to pass order one way or the other. The second respondent shall pass such an order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
