O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to grant permission and to provide adequate police protection to conduct peaceful demonstration on 23.04.2025 between 11.00 a.m to 01.00 p.m near District Collector Office, Pudukkottai District or any other the alternative date and place for condemning the illegal mining operations carrying out in Kannagudi Village, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukkottai District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 22.03.2025.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that they have no objection to conduct demonstration in alternative place since the present place is near the Collector Office and it will cause hindrance to the public. 2/4

3. The leaned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, has agreed for conducing Dharna at Chinnappa Park, Pudukottai on 23.04.2025.

4. Therefore, considering the prayer sought for in the petition and the respondents have also agreed for granting permission to conduct demonstration at Chinnappa Park, Pudukottai District on 23.04.2025, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.03.2025, as suggested by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, to conduct demonstration on 23.04.2025 at Chinnappa Park, Pudukottai District, by imposing appropriate conditions in accordance with law.

5. With the above said observation and direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
