*********** Mr.S.Kumar, the learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the first respondent. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of his appeal pending before the first respondent arising out of the patta proceedings. It is stated that the said appeal filed in the month of July 2014 has not yet been disposed of.

3. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits and contentions raised by the petitioner in respect of the subject matter of the appeal, I only direct the first respondent to consider the appeal and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of hearing to the second respondent herein.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
