For Respondent : Mr.M.SAKTHI KUMAR, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No. 7 of 2024 on the file of the respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police in connection with the case in Crime No.7 of 2024 for the offence under Sections 498(A), 406 and 506(i) I.P.C., have filed this petition, seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners harassed the defacto 1/3

complainant by demanding additional dowry and also compelled to pledge her jewels.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner has already obtained an anticipatory bail before the Sessions Court, however, he could not furnish sureties in time and therefore, he has filed this application for another anticipatory bail before this Court. He further submits that the investigation is yet to be completed.

5. Since the issue has already been decided before the Sessions Court, it is open to the petitioner to file application before concerned Sessions Judge for extension of time or for fresh anticipatory bail.
