: Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to return the petitioner's driving license by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2015 and pass orders. *********** Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to return the driving license of the petitioner.

3. After notice, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the license of the petitioner was suspended for a period of three months by the Licensing Authority, who is the first respondent herein. He further submitted that after passing such an order, the first respondent has forwarded the license to the Assistant Licensing Authority, Tenkasi and therefore, the petitioner can make an application to the said authority and get back his driving license.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would approach the said authority and seek for the return of the driving license also by reserving his right to challenge the order of suspension separately.

Considering the above stated facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is directed to approach the Assistant Licensing Authority, Tenkasi, for return of his driving license and as and when such an application is made, the said authority will return the driving license to the petitioner, without any further loss of time. It is open to the petitioner to challenge the order of suspension of his license in the manner known to law.

6. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
