JUDGMENT

(By G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The first respondent / Subbulakshmi was working as Revenue Assistant. She was an aspirant for the post of Deputy Tahsildar. Since her name was not included in the promotion panel, she filed W.P.(MD)No.2521 of 2014. The writ petition was allowed vide order dated 22.10.2019. Aggrieved by the same, the government has filed this writ appeal.

3.When the matter was taken up for final disposal, it was submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader that the writ petitioner had passed away as early as on 06.02.2022. Her legal heirs have not come on record. Secondly, on the crucial date, she was undergoing punishment.
