O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Advocate General assisted by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

2. Contending that the order dated 12.07.2019 passed by this Court has not been complied with, the present contempt petition came to be filed.

3. The respondents in the writ petition have filed the writ appeal. In the condone delay petition, this Court indicated on the last occasion that patta can be issued in favour of the petitioner subject to the outcome of the writ appeal.

4. Today when the matter was taken up for hearing, the proceedings dated 18.02.2022 issued by the Tahsildar, Thuraiyur, has been produced indicating that in the computer patta, the petitioner's name has been restored. I make it clear that it is subject to the outcome of the writ appeal. If the department is unable to obtain interim order from the Hon'ble 2/4

3 CONT.P.(MD)NO.618 OF 2020 Division Bench within a period of eight weeks, the jurisdictional Sub Registrar, Trichy, is obliged to register the settlement deed that can be executed by the petitioner.

5. With this direction, this contempt petition stands closed.
