PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to give adequate police protection for life and limb of the petitioner and her husband namely Manikandan and his family members based on the complaint dated 06.10.2018. For Petitioner :Mr.S.Sivaprakash For R1 & R2 :Mr.R.Anandharaj Additional Public Prosecutor

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police to give Police protection for life and limb of the petitioner and her family members.

2.This Court has already passed an order in Crl.O.P.(MD). No.18491 and 18492 of 2018, dated 24.10.2018, wherein, the respondent Police was given certain directions. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the same directions will apply insofar as this case is concerned.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the third respondent was summoned to the second respondent Police and he has given in writing that he will not in anyway cause any disturbance or interference to the family members. The said letter has been produced before this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.In view of the undertaking given by the third respondent no further orders are required to be passed by this Court in this Petition.

However, it is made clear that, despite the undertaking, if the third respondent again indulges in causing threat or disturbance to the family of the petitioner, the second respondent Police is directed to take action in accordance with law.

5.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
