ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.RAMASUBRAMANIAN,J.) The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition challenging the rejection of his request for the grant of a community certificate.

2.Heard Mr.S.Vellaichamy, learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.Mr.M.Alagadevan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. He submitted that as against the rejection of a request for the grant of community certificate, a remedy of appeal is now provided under G.O.Ms.No.235, Revenue Department, dated 26.06.2015 to the District Collector.

4.Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of permitting the writ petitioner to file an appeal to the District Collector, within a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the District Collector, shall hold an enquiry and give opportunity to the petitioner to produce relevant documents and pass appropriate orders within a further period of eight weeks. Registry shall return the original impugned order to the petitioner to enable him to file appeal. No costs. Consequently, M.P(MD)No.1 of 2015 is closed.
