Mr.R.Karthikeyan, the learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant patta in respect of the property, referred to in the Writ Petition. It appears that the petitioner has already made a representation dated 23.09.2015 seeking for grant of patta. Therefore, it is for the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law.

3. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any view on the merits and contentions raised by the petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.09.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
