O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's daughter, namely, V.Krishnaveni, D/o.M.Veeran, aged about 22 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.
2. The petitioner would claim that he is working as a temporary staff in Primary Health Centre at Verivedu Village. He was married to one Seeniammal and they are blessed with two 1/3
children. The detenue is his daughter. She is pursuing her MBA course at Chinnalapatti. The petitioner further stated that she fell in love with one Tamilselvan and the same was opposed by him. In this regard a complaint was lodged with the All Women Police Station, Nilakottai. Thereafter, the detenue joined with the petitioner, however, she was found missing from 26.04.2021. Hence, a second complaint was given on 04.05.2021, since no action was taken, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the detenue appeared before this Court through Video Conferencing from the Public Prosecutor Office. On enquiry, she has stated that she married one Tamilselvan on 22.04.2021 at Sivan Temple in Muthalapuram and they are now living together at Pattiveeranpatti. On further enquiry, she expressed her unwillingness to go with the petitioner.
4. In the light of the above statement of the detenue, nothing survives for consideration in this case. Hence, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
