O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to give adequate police protection for the life and limb of tenants and their workers, enabling them to cultivate in the temple property at S.F.Nos. 157/1, 157/3, 158/1 and 158/3 situated at Vellayakkonpatti Revenue Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District, on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2025. 2.According to the petitioner, he is the hereditary trustee of the said temple. While so, the temple properties were entrusted to the 2/5

tenants for cultivation, but the third respondent very often interfering with the possession of the tenants and also causing disturbance to the administration of the temple. Therefore, the petitioner sent the representation dated 27.02.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner sought for police protection for the said properties. Since there is a dispute between the parties, police protection cannot be granted for the disputed properties unless specific decree granted by the competent civil Court. 4.Considering the prayer sought for in this petition and the petitioner's representation is pending with the second respondent, this Court directs the second respondent to conduct enquiry and consider the petitioner's representation within a period of one week from the date of this order, after affording opportunity to both the parties, in accordance with law.
