O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to enquire the complaint dated 30.09.2021 of the petitioner and to take appropriate action by the respondents within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that on 23.09.2021, when the petitioner and his family members were travelled in the auto of one Malaichamy, the said Auto driver took away the bag of the petitioner herein and he refused to return the same and the said Auto Driver and his wife threatened the petitioner herein. Hence, the petitioner herein gave a complaint to the first respondent on 30.09.2021 for taking appropriate action against the said auto driver and the above said complaint was forwarded to the second respondent for enquiry. But no action has been taken by the respondents till date. Hence, the present petition has been filed by the petitioner to take appropriate action on the complaint given by him.

Though the petitioner seeks larger relief, at the time of arguments the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice, if the complaint of the petitioner dated 30.09.2021, is disposed of by the respondents 1 and 2, on merits, as expeditiously as possible. 2/5

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the Respondents on instructions would submit that if reasonable time is granted to them, appropriate orders will be passed on the complaint of the petitioner.

5. In view of the above said submission and also considering the limited scope of the relief now sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the complaint of the petitioner dated 30.09.2021 and pass suitable orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
