Writ Petitions are filed under article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant FL3 licence to the petitioner's restaurant namely Udaya Restaurant based on the petitioner's application dated 26.11.2024 and his representation dated 27.02.2026 and 04.03.2026.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to grant FL3 licence to the petitioners restaurant, namely Udaya Restaurant based on the petitioner's application dated 26.11.2024 and his further reminders dated 27.02.2026 and 04.03.2026.

2.They learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that as early as in the year 2024, the petitioner has made an application in the manner known to law as prescribed under the Rules even though due recommendations of the Inspecting Authorities have been made, the same is kept pending.

3.When the matter came up for admission, the learned Special Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents would submit that as per the Rules, it is for the first respondent to consider the same in accordance with law. The first respondent will consider the application and pass orders on merits.

4.In view thereof, this writ petition is ordered on the following terms. (i)The first respondent shall consider the application of the petitioner data 26.11.2024 on merits as per their policy in accordance with law within

and pass final orders as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later than three months from the date of receipt of web copy of the order.
