Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct public meeting on 26.11.2015 between 06.00 p.m., to 10.00 p.m., at Chatram Bus Stand, Opposite to Chitra Hotel, Trichy.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct public meeting on 26.11.2015 between 06.00 p.m., to 10.00 p.m., at Chatram Bus Stand, Opposite to Chitra Hotel, Trichy.

2. S.Chandrasekar, Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the place chosen by the petitioner, for conducting public meeting, is in conducive, as it will affect traffic and cause disturbance to the public and others.

3. It is represented by the Government Advocate appearing for the respondents that the respondents have given list of some places to the petitioner for conducting public meeting. To that effect, the Government Advocate produced the proceedings of the Commissioner of Police, Tiruchirappalli City, dated 08.05.2015, before this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In view of the stand taken by the respondents, the representation

of the petitioner, dated 16.11.2015 shall be considered and take a decision and communicate the same to the petitioner on or before 25.11.2015.
