The petitioner has filed the present writ petition for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records in connection with the impugned order passed by the second respondent vide No.Na.Ka.No.A5/15298/2013, dated 30.04.2013 and to quash the same and consequently to direct the respondents to issue the suitable appointment to petitioner's son (V.Jeyakumar) through compassionate grounds.

2.Heard the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner's husband died on 27.07.1996. However, the petitioner has made application only on 19.09.2007, seeking for compassionate appointment for her son, since her son was only 9 years old at the time of the death of the petitioner's husband. 4.The petitioner should have sought for compassionate appointment without waiting for the son to become major. The purpose of compassionate appointment itself is defeated. The petitioner waited for nearly a decade and made an application seeking compassionate appointment for her son, though she was eligible for appointment at the relevant point of time. This itself clearly shows that there is no indigent circumstances.

5.Hence, this Court is of the view that the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. The Writ Petition stands dismissed, accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
