O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and her minor child/S.G.Harshana Nethra, based on the complaint, dated 28.04.2021, lodged with the second respondent.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the third respondent and the petitioner are husband and wife and they have a female child. Due to matrimonial dispute, the third respondent abused the petitioner by demanding more dowry from her and asked her to hand over the child to him also threatened her and her family members. Hence, the petitioner made a complaint before the second respondent, on 28.04.2021. Since the respondent police have not taken any action, the petitioner is before this Court seeking police protection.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint dated 28.04.2021 and it is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P(MD)No.7194 of 2021 pending. He further submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.04.2021 will be considered by the respondents 1 and 2.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.04.2021 by following the due process of law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
