PETITIONS FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C COMMON PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No. 9 of 2024 on the file of the respondent Police.

COMMON ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with a case in Crime No.9 of 2024, for the offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 406, 323, 506(1) and 109 of IPC, have filed these petitions seeking anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that due to matrimonial dispute, the accused harassed the defacto complainant and also demanded additional dowry from her. Hence the case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that no previous case is pending against the petitioners. 5.The learned Counsel for the intervenor has raised serious objections and submits that the petitioners had taken away the jewels of the defacto complainant and not returned the same to her.

6.Considering the submission made by the learned Counsel for the intervenor, 2/3

this Court is of the opinion that the jewels of the defacto complainant can be recovered only by way of custodial interrogation. 7.Considering the conduct of the petitioners, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioners. Accordingly, these Criminal Original Petitions are dismissed.
