The petitioner, with an allegation that the second respondent police is harassing him under the guise of an enquiry, has approached this Court seeking a direction as against the police officials. 1/4

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the respondents police have registered a case as against one Muhamed Isham in Crime No.48 of 2024 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 427, 447 and 506(2) of IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and in the course of investigation, they have also enquired the petitioner. He further submitted that the petitioner is not added as an accused in the said case.

3.Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the petitioner is not an accused in Crime No.48 of 2024, this petition is allowed with a direction to the respondents police not to harass the petitioner.
