PRAYER: Petition filed under Section 482 Code of Criminal Procedure, directing the learned District and Sessions Judge, Tuticorin to expedite the trial in Crl.M.P.No.1617 of 2021 and dispose the same within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R
This petition is filed seeking a direction to the learned District and Sessions Judge, Tuticorin to expedite the trial in Crl.M.P.No.1617 of 2021 and dispose the same within the time stipulated by this Court.
2.The grievance of the petitioner is that he filed a petition before the concerned Court for return of property, which has been seized on 09.02.2021, by the respondent police in Crime No.56 of 2021. Thereafter, it was produced before the concerned Court. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petition filed by him for return of property is still pending without any progress. The vehicle is also kept in open place. Hence, to expedite the trial and dispose of the petition, the present direction petition came to be filed.
3. It is seen that the vehicle was seized on 09.02.2021 and the petition for return of vehicle was filed on 18.03.2021. It is to be noted that the petition might have been kept pending due to lockdown restrictions. Now, the Courts are functioning. Hence, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal District Sessions Judge, Tuticorin to dispose of the matter on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the parties concerned, within a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
Crl.O.P(MD)No.9475 of 2021 and period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
