Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C. PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.3 of 2024 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in 1/3

connection with a case in Crime No.3 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 498(A), 294(b) and 506(2) IPC, has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The petitioner is the husband of the defacto complainant. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner harassed the defacto complainant by demanding dowry and also threatened her with dire consequences. Hence, the complaint.

3. Considering the fact that it is a matrimonial dispute and also considering the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, by order dated 17.04.2024, referred the matter to the Mediation Centre attached to this Bench.

4. It appears that the petitioner has failed to appear before the mediation centre, while the defacto complainant was present before the mediation centre.

5. Considering the conduct of the petitioner in not appearing before the Mediation Centre despite the direction of this Court, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
