ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Thoothukudi, to accept the personal bond to be executed by the petitioner in pursuance of the order dated 19.03.2020, passed in Cr.M.P.No.1127 of 2020.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3.A perusal of the impugned order dated 19.03.2020, passed in Cr.M.P.No.1127 of 2020, which was filed by the petitioner under Section 451 Cr.P.C. seeking interim custody of JCB, bearing Registration No.TN-72-AA-6570, shows that the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Thoothukudi, directed the petitioner to execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) towards 10% value of the vehicle as one of the conditions for releasing the vehicle. Though the said order was passed in favour of the petitioner herein, instead of executing a bond before the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Thoothukudi, the petitioner has filed the present petition before this Court by simply mentioning that due to COVID-19, the learned Principal Sessions Judge, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
CRL OP(MD)No.8314 of 2020 Thoothukudi, did not accept the personal bond. In support of the said contention, the petitioner has not filed any documents before this Court to show that the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Thoothukudi, refused to accept the personal bond. Therefore, I do not find any merits in this petition. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition filed by the petitioner, is devoid of merits and the same is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, it is dismissed.
