ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.117 of 2022 dated 09.04.2022 on the file of the respondent police and to file final report 1/4

before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Illuppur, Pudukkottai District within a time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the complainant in Crime No.117 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(i) of IPC and now the grievance of the petitioner is that, even after lapse of one year, investigation has not been completed and final report filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.117 of 2022 and that the investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks two months time to file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.117 of 2022 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
