Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to re allot a shop in new panchayat building constructed in New Kamarajar Bus Stand, Thingalnagar to the petitioner by considering his representation dated 18.05.2021.
4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was running a fancy store in the old building and was paying the rent regularly. He was informed by the second respondent that the building is going to be demolished and a new building complex will be constructed and at that point of time, he will be considered for allotment of shop in the new premises. After the construction of the new building complex, the petitioner made representation to the second respondent to allot shop. The same was not considered and in the meantime, a tender notification was also issued by the second https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD) No.9833 of 2021 respondent. Aggrieved by the same, this writ petition has been filed.
5. The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that it would be suffice if a direction is given to the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioner.
6. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would state that the representation of the petitioner would be considered within a reasonable time.
7. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondents and in the light of the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.05.2021, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
