ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the summons issued by the first respondent in his proceeding Nil, dated 26.04.2022 on the file of the first respondent. 2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the respondent police have no jurisdiction to summon the petitioner for enquiry since the petitioner is residing at Gandhi Nagar, K.K.Nagar, Madurai. Apart from this, they have issued summon, dated 26.04.2022, without mentioning the CSR number in the summon. Hence, he pleaded to quash the same. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that the respondent police have jurisdiction to enquire in the matter and also issued summon for the appearance on 26.04.2022. Further, he stated that it has become infructuous and pleaded to dismiss this petition. 4.On a perusal of records, it reveals that the summon has been issued to appear on 26.04.2022, but, now it has become infructuous. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD) No.8502 of 2022 5.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner insisted that if the respondent police issues summons to the petitioner, he may be directed to mention the CSR number, for what proceedings he has summoned.

6.Accepting the said submission made by the petitioner, I hereby direct the respondent police, whenever he issues summons to the petitioner for enquiry, he should mention the CSR number and give clear particulars in connection with what matter they have summoned for enquiry.

7.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
