ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioners and their family members under the guise of enquiry.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the first petitioner fall in love with the second petitioner and got married. In this circumstance, the parents of the first petitioner and her relatives came to the petitioners' house and gave 1/3

life threat to them. Hence, the first petitioner lodged a complaint dated 26.05.2021 to the respondent police against the respondents 5 to 9 who are the parents and relatives of the first petitioner. The grievance of the petitioners is that the the respondent police is harassing the petitioners under the guise of enquiry. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. 4.Whatever might be the circumstances, the second respondent police is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 26.05.2021 by following the principles laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in D.K.Basu Vs. State of West Bengal reported in AIR (1997) SC 610.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
