RESPONDENT/RESPONDENT/COMPLAINANT Petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to grant extension of time granted in the order made in Crl MP(MD)No.3713 of 2021 in CRL OP(MD).4928 of 2021, dated 06.05.2021 on the file of this Hon`ble Court. Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.C.MAYILVAHANA RAJENDRAN, Advocate for the petitioners and of Mr.M.MUTHUMANIKKAM, Government Advocate(Crl. Side) on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- The petition has been filed to extend the time granted by this court in Crl.O.P(MD)No.4928 of 2021 dated 16.04.2021, for producing the sureties and for executing the bail bond.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that petitioners were granted anticipatory bail by this Court on 16.04.2021. Since they were unable to arrange sureties, they could not comply with the conditions and filed a petition for extension of time to comply with the conditions and this Court by an order dated 06.05.2021 in Crl.M.P(MD) No. 3713 of 2021 has granted https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
CRL MP(MD) No.3941 of 2021 two weeks time to comply with the conditions. The order copy was made ready on 20.05.2021 and due to imposition of lock down there is no transport facility and they were unable to come from Chennai to comply with the conditions imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant further time to execute the sureties.
3. Heard the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) appearing for the State.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and also the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation this petition is allowed and the time for producing the sureties is extended by four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order as a last chance.
