Judicial Magistrate, Melur, seeking expeditious disposal of the Crl.M.P.No. 2452 of 2025.
2. The petitioners herein have filed D.V.C.No.11 of 2014 before the Judicial Magistrate, Melur, which was disposed of on 23.04.2021. Challenging the order passed therein the petitioners have filed C.A.No.94 of 2021 on the file of the V Additional District and Sessions Court, Madurai and the same was also disposed of on 11.12.2023. This Court, by an order dated 07.07.2025 directed the respondent herein to pay a sum of Rs.15,000/- as maintenance from 14.07.2014 onwards. There was also a direction to the husband to pay the entire arrears of monthly maintenance. Since the husband neither paid the monthly maintenance amount nor the arrears, the petitioners have filed Cr.M.P.No.2452 of 2025 before the Judicial Magistrate, Melur and the same is pending. Hence, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.
3. The respondent has been served and he has also filed his counter. However it is being adjourned and therefore the present petition. 2/4
4. Considering the fact that the maintenance amount has not been paid to the petitioners from July 2014 onwards, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, to expeditious disposal of Cr.M.P.No.2452 of 2025 on or before 31.07.2026.
