2. The petitioner is working as Assistant Engineer in Thoothukudi Thermal Power Station, Thoothukudi. He was suspended from service in the year 2011. The petitioner is facing prosecution at the instance of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption and he is also facing parallely departmental action. The petitioner had given representation for dropping the disciplinary action and reinstatement. I made it clear that this is not a case in which disciplinary action can be ordered to be closed. However, in view of the fact that the petitioner was suspended for almost 12 years, I called upon the respondents to revisit the issue regarding continuance of the petitioner's suspension.
3. Today when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent produce a copy of the proceedings dated 01.06.2023 indicating that the petitioner has been posted in O&E Division in North Chennai. Since the petitioner had been ordered to be reinstated, recording this development this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
