ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed to direct the 2nd Respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct in respect of Aadal Padal programme going to held on 02.04.2025 at 07.00 p.m., to 10.00 p.m., in pursuance to the temple festival namely Arulmigu Sri Manthai Amman Temple at Villaniyapuram based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2025.

According to the petitioner, he is one of the residents of the village and a practicing Advocate and the villagers decided to conduct festival of Arulmigu Sri Manthai Amman Temple at Villaniyapuram from 01.04.2025 to 02.04.2025. They have also decided to conduct cultural programme on 02.04.2025 from 07.00 p.m. to 10.00 2/5

p.m. For that reason, they have approached the second respondent to grant permission through a representation dated 17.03.2025 and the same has not been considered. Hence, this petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the representation of the petitioner is under consideration and if the petitioner undertakes to conduct the cultural programme without any law and order issue, they will consider the representation of the petitioner favorably by imposing appropriate condition. 4.This Court had heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5.Considering the prayer sought for by the petitioner and the submission made on either sides, this Court hereby direct the second respondent to grant adequate permission to conduct cultural programme at Arulmigu Sri Manthai Amman Temple on 02.04.2025 from 07.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m., by imposing appropriate and necessary conditions and to 3/5

provide adequate police protection and to ensure law and order during the programme.
