ORDER

Seeking to direct the first and second respondents to take appropriate action on the petitioner's complaint dated 25.02.2026, this petition is filed. 2.Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the third respondent, notice to him is dispensed with.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner pointed out that the third respondent had set fire in his agricultural land situated in S.F.No.880/ 4 at Thirukalambur Village, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukkottai District. However, no action has been taken by the second respondent police, despite the petitioner's complaint has been received and CSR No.170 of 2026 has been issued.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on instructions submitted that investigation is pending.

5.Considering the submissions made, the petitioner is directed to produce all necessary documents substantiating his claim that his agricultural land was set fire by the third respondent. The second respondent police is directed to 2/4

conduct enquiry on the petitioner's complaint dated 25.02.2026 by putting notice on the petitioner as well as the third respondent under Section 64 of BNSS and conclude the same within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The first respondent is directed to monitor the investigation being conducted by the second respondent. The second respondent is also directed to appraise the progress of the investigation to the first respondent from time to time.
