By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to issue house tax receipt and provide drinking water connection to the petitioner's house situated in Annamalaiyar Illam, 37/5, Ammankovil Street, Kallupatti, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangi District and on such house tax receipt, the 2nd respondent may be directed to provide new EB connection for the additional building forthwith.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that the petitioner owns property in the abovesaid address and completed construction of house and additional building. The petitioner has applied for issuing property tax receipt and to provide drinking water connection to his house, to the 1st respondent and also https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.9816 of 2021 applied for new EB connection for his additional building, to the 2nd respondent. Since there was no response, the petitioner has made a representation dated 17.02.2021 to the 1st respondent and no order was passed thereon. Hence, this writ petition. 4.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would state that it is suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 17.02.2021 within a time frame, for which, the learned counsel for the respondents agreed.

5.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondents.

6.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondents and without adverting to the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.02.2021 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
