Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents no. 1 to 5 to cancel the Work Order Na.Ka.No.123/2017 dated 12.06.2017 through which the 6th respondent availed the Housing for All scheme and accordingly recover the sum of Rs.2,10,000/- that was granted in respect of the Housing for All scheme and thereby take necessary action against the 6th respondent for having availed the scheme through deception and also for having constructed the house contrary to the mandate of the Housing for All scheme by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2024 and 02.04.2024. Heard both sides.

2. As early as in June 2017, the subsidy amount of Rs.2,10,000/- is granted to the sixth respondent under the petition mentioned scheme. 2/4

The 6th respondent had also put up construction. It appears that there were certain irregularities. They had since been set right. This writ petition was filed only in April 2024. The petitioner has moved this Court after a gap of almost 7 years. The writ petition suffers from hopeless laches. The Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
